Learning outcomes

At the end of the module the student possesses the knowledge and the ability to understand: the female reproductive physiology at various stages of life, the physiology of sexual function, human reproduction and initial phenomena of pregnancy, the general principles of pathophysiology and pathology of human reproduction with particular reference to any changes in the menstrual cycle and fertility, with nods to medically assisted procreation techniques.

Course contents

The the arguments tend to provide students with the fundamental basis for orientation in the diagnosis of major  gynecological pathologies:
Gynecology
· Axis hypothalamus-pituitary-ovarian
· Alteration of the menstrual cycle
· Polycystic ovary syndrome, and hyperandrogenism.
· Couple Sterility
· Techniques of PMA
· Menopause and climacteric syndrome
· Menometrorrhagia dysfunctional
· Endometriosis
· Chronic Pelvic Pain STDs and pelvic inflammatory disease
· Pathology inflammatory female genital
· Sexually transmitted diseases

Assessment methods

The final evaluation consists of an oral test on the topics of the program.

The end-of-course exam aims to evaluate the achievement of the didactic objectives by verifying the student's ability to apply his or her knowledge and to make the necessary logical-deductive connections.

Gradation of the final grade:

Preparation on a very limited number of topics covered in the course and analytical skills that emerge only with the help of the teacher, expressed in an overall correct language → 18-19;

Preparation on a limited number of topics covered in the course and ability to autonomous analysis only on purely executive matters, expression in correct language → 20-24;

Preparation on a large number of topics covered in the course, ability to make independent choices of critical analysis, mastery of specific terminology → 25-29;

Basically exhaustive preparation on the topics covered in the course, ability to make autonomous choices of critical analysis and connection, full mastery of specific terminology and ability to argue and self-reflection → 30-30L.
