Learning outcomes

At the end of the laboratory, the student possesses the practical skills with respect to techniques in the ENT rehabilitation field and possesses the necessary skills to put into practice the main speech therapy techniques for the re-education of dysphonies.

Course contents

Learners in the "virtual" laboratory of vocal techniques will learn the different modalities and different logopedic rehabilitation styles, according to the different vocal pathologies, through practical workshops and always supported by theoretical lessons.

The practice will focus on the following points:
reach and strive to use a euphonic voice manage breath and posture use proper vocal projection using vocal tract appropriately try to articulate correctly, tending to use a correct pronunciation learn to recognize, evaluate and rehabilitate the different vocal qualities in normality and pathology teach the different rehabilitative methods and concepts of the use of the voice.

The program will also focus on introducing the theoretical foundations and general principles of the use and production of the voice, together with the physiology and anatomy of the larynx

• learn to plan targeted speech therapy interventions, independently using educational and rehabilitative strategies in the speech therapy rehabilitation treatment of voice disorders

• know how the voice is produced, how it is treated and how to prevent it from possible pathologies

• learn to approach the Voice tool.

Distance learning following the latest ordinance of 13/11/2020.

Drafting of a logopedic rehabilitation treatment plan.

Knowing how to read and interpret diagnoses in medical reports.

Assessment methods

The final written and / or oral test will be defined during the first lesson, with the students.

The assessment will focus on all the contents included in the study program with particular attention to the "practical" and professional skills of the speech therapy profession.

Preparatory material for speech therapy rehabilitation of vocal pathologies.

Viewing of videos / films regarding clinical cases.

Listening to normal and / or pathological voices.

Questionnaires for the evaluation of vocal pathologies.
