Learning outcomes
Philosophy of law from a normative point of view. The concept of law, human rights, democracy are keywords of the course.
Course contents
The Roots of Violence. Nazi Germany and Enigma of Consent
The Second Part of the Course deals with the “enigma” of consent during Nazi Germany. From a conceptual and historical point of view the Course analyses the question of consent with particular regard to the idea of legality, sense of community and authority, moral indifference, authoritarian education. This complex and mixed constellation of propulsive factors will be examined from both a philosophical and a social psychological perspective.
