Learning outcomes

The course will provide the student with the knowledge of spectroscopic techniques  for the characterization and study of molecules and molecular materials.

Both theoretical and practical aspects of Infrared and Raman spectroscopy will be treated. Examples of vibrational spectroscopy applications in the fields of  forensics, cultural heritage, study of the atmosphere, astrophysics and astronomy will be given.
