Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students should master knowledge on the acquisition of personal and social identity as a pivotal symbolic property of individualstaking both a developmental and social perspective.
They should knowtheoretical models pertaining to identity construction and institutional orientation
as well as the notion of complexity of identity as a social prejudice buffer.

The course is aimed at leading to the understanding of the most important socio-cognitive processes underlying the acquisition of personal and social identity

The course will be run through lectures and work groups of the students on the topics addressed in the course
Assessment methods
The acquisition of knowledge related to the course will be assessed through a written exam. The task will be that of selecting three open questions out of four and provide extensive answers to them.
the evaluation criteria refer to clarity, rationality and completeness of the information reported in the answers.
