Learning outcomes

Mathematical model for aircraft performance analysis and design. Aircraft preliminary sizing and design. Static stability analysis and fundamentals of control system design.

Course contents

Development of the 6 Degrees-of-Freedom dynamic model of a rotary-wing aircraft.

Design and implementation of flight control laws for stability augmentation and trajectory tracking.

Numerical validation in simulation environment and by means of flight testing.
