Learning outcomes
At the end of the module the student has the knowledge of aims and methods of practice based on evidence of effectiveness, has the ability to apply knowledge and understanding in relation to the formulation of clinical questions, the conduct of bibliographic research and the development of research protocols in physiotherapy.

PHASES OF THE EBP PROCESS IN PHYSIOTHERAPY:
1. EBP definition and formulation of the clinical question through the acronym PICO
2. Search strategies in the main databases:
Pyramid of evidence
Pubmed, Pedro, Cochrane Library, Trip database, guidelines database
Structure of the scientific article
3. Critical evaluation of the evidence:
Rating scales
Internal and external validity of studies
Data analysis and statistical measures
Risk indices
4. Application of the results to the individual patient

Ongoing tests: on the basis of the formulation of a question, the student will have to implement the research path of articles and evaluate their methodological quality
