42393 - Internship 1

Academic Year 2019/2020

  • Teaching Mode: Traditional lectures
  • Campus: Bologna
  • Corso: First cycle degree programme (L) in Environment and Workplace Prevention Techniques (cod. 8487)

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student is able to: know and know how to use the main tools and the main techniques for measuring risk factors in the living and working environments and / or know how to interpret the results. Know the main industrial technological cycles.

Course contents

I semester

General objective:
Know the main technological cycles of the industrial, craft and agri-food sectors.

Specific objectives:

- Know the technological cycle of the plastic sector
- Know the technological cycle of cosmetic production
- Know the technological cycle of sausage production
- Know the technological cycle of the production of detergent products                                                                            - Know the technological cycle of the production of bakery products                                                                           Know the technological cycles of the agri-food sector (production of oil, milk, preserves, fruit, egg products)

II semester

1) General objective:

Know the main technological cycles of the industrial, craft and agri-food sectors.

Specific objectives:

- Know the technological cycles of building construction and the main equipment used in the sector
- Know the technological cycles of the metalworking sector (machining with machine tools and metal carpentry)
- Know the technological cycle of woodworking
- Know the technological cycles of ceramic and brick production

2) General objectives

Knowing and knowing how to use the main tools and techniques for measuring risk factors in the living and working environments and knowing how to interpret the results

Specific objectives:

- Know and know how to use tools and techniques for measuring noise in the workplace;
- Know and know how to use the tools and techniques for measuring mechanical vibrations of the equipment used in the workplace;
- Know and know how to use the tools and techniques for measuring the microclimate in the workplace;
- Know and know how to use tools and techniques for measuring ionizing radiation in the workplace;
- Know and know how to use the tools and techniques for sampling airborne particles in the workplace;
- Know and know how to use the tools and techniques for sampling dangerous organic substances present in the air of the workplace.

Teaching methods

- Attendance of students in small groups of internship days at local production companies for the knowledge of technological cycles

- Frequency of students, in small groups, of training days at local companies for the measurement and sampling of risk factors (physical and chemical) for health in the workplace

Assessment methods

The learning verification will focus on the discussion, during the oral / practical test, of a short paper on one of the production technologies addressed in the internship and a question on one of the other technologies viewed. In addition, questions will be asked about the instrumentation and measurement techniques used in the sampling and measurement of risk factors faced in the traineeships.
