Learning outcomes

The course examines the main survey instruments used in criminology , with particular attention to those used for the analysis of the social reality in which it carries out the complex dynamics author / victim of crime . At the end of the workshop path , the student will have acquired the necessary knowledge of the main investigative models and techniques of crime mapping ; He will have learned the basic skills and the specific tasks of the crime analyst ; Students will be able to collect and interpret data on crime , along with those relating to the victimization

Course contents

The first part, provides students with the theoretical and operational tools necessary to analyze an organizational point of view of safety of life and property (risk analisys, swot analysis), through the use of technologies.  

The second part examines the prison, its functions and the professionals who work there. Particular attention will be given to research in the penitentiary field.
