Course contents

LEARNING OUTCOMES

 

Student, at the end of the stage provided period, has learned all the imaging techniques of traditional radiology, on osteoarticular apparatus , thorax and abdomen with and without contrast medium. At the end of stage period student should perform autonomally all the techniques necessary to do a radiological exam in emergency dept. on medical prescription without contrast medium. The aim obtained through controlled Performing with supervision. Learning relational competence.

 

COURSE CONTENTS The stage project provides an initial orientation period in which the student become more familiar with radiology's instruments and in general, with the hospital environment. The stage project of the second period provides a full immersion of the student in emergency diagnostic, orthopedic diagnostic, senology, contrastographic diagnostic examinations, surgical, urological and orthopedic operating theatre, examinations at the bedside of the patient and dentistry diagnostics . ASSESSMENT METHODS

 

Practice test verification: the stage examination takes place in emergency diagnostics. Student is given a prescription from the emergency room and in total autonomy must perform the radiographic examination of any district of the osteoarticular apparatus, chest, or abdomen without contrast medium. Student must be able to discuss the principles of fairness and the physics that underlies of this radiogram.

 

TEACHING TOOLS

 

Conventional radiology instruments provided by health care companies of AUSL Romagna (Public Health Care System) in particular from Rimini health care. All students have a dosimeter, identification cards, marker letters, timestamps badge used in all hospitals of AUSL Romagna, a locker for change uniform and a locker room for men and one for women. Possibility to eat in the Self-service Hospital where stage takes place. Each student is assigned to a diagnostic and a tutor. Minimum period of training for each specialist sector 15 days.
