Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student knows satisfactorily general issues and specific aspects of the history of literature. And 'able to understand and translate texts in their original language, it has acquired basic theoretical knowledge necessary to face the ?? critical interpretation of their content and is able to comment on and explain texts according to specific methodologies for the analysis o the literary text.

Course contents


The general outlines of the history of Arabic literature from the Nahda today. The contemporary Arab literature. The novel, the short story, the theater and the press. Modern poetry of mahgiar. The renewal of modern poetry and free verse.
