Students shall be able to put the iconic elements of the film in relation with its narrative structure.
Course contents
A genealogy of film noir: its style, its contents, its nightmares.

Bibliography is a work in progress: it will be ready by the beginning of the course (february 2017)
Teaching methods
Lectures. Ten lectures, each one three hours long
Assessment methods
Oral examinations: students will be tested on the subjects of the course. They shall be able to give proper answers and to PROPERLY MASTER THE ITALIAN LANGUAGE
Teaching tools
The vision of films is required. The list of the films will be published later on in the year. The course will start in February 2017
