Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student will have acquired:
the morphological and physiological bases of the eye in particular of retina and optic nerve
the recent cell therapy approches in order to regenerate the retina and to repairing optic nerve injury.

Course contents

Embryonic development of the eye  in particular of retina and optic nerve.
Morphological and physiological organization of retina and optic nerve.
Overview of stem cells. Recent cell therapy approches in order to regenerate the retina and to repairing optic nerve injury.
