Learning outcomes

The Course aims to provide the medical student with the tools to understand:

  • the main epidemiological, etiopathogenetic, morphologic, phenotypic, and clinico-pathologic characteristics of the tumours of the larynx, lung, intestine, thyroid, kidney, urinary tract, bone and soft tissues;
  • the methodological approach to the pathological diagnosis of the above mentioned diseases.

Teaching methods

Attendance at classes and individual learning at home bases on the suggested textbook and electronic files.

Assessment methods

Oral examination based on three questions referring to the diseases of different organs and apparata.

Teaching tools

Formal lectures integrated by the projection of PowerPoint files with macroscopic and microscopic images, and video-tapes.
