Learning outcomes

The course should help the student to recognize the pathogenetic mechanisms, to formulate a more appropriate diagnostic procedure and to propose a tailored treatment to the endocrinological and metabolic diseases in which a disturbance of circadian rhythm is involved.

Course contents

Endocrine circadian rhythms

1) Relevance of the chronobiology in the endocrine practice

2) Endocrine systems and circadian rhythms in physiology and pathophysiology

3) Chronobiology of obesity and diabetes
