Conoscenze e abilità da conseguire

This course unit aims at providing the students with the linguistic skills suitable for the understanding and the production of written and oral German texts. It also intends to develop the interpersonal relationships in the horizon of the German-speaking culture. In particular, this course unit will focus on selected aspects of the German language, highlighting the different artistic approaches and the international communication.

Contenuti

The course will be focusing on grammatical topics and communicative skills of particular relevance to the German language (German verbal system, use of prepositions, nouns, adjectives, cultural aspects, organisation of written and spoken discourse, etc.) applied to real communicative situations, in order to allow the students to reach the A2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
The course will include activities of reading and analysis of basic level texts dealing with topics relevant to the master degree course.

Metodi didattici

Classes will include a variety of different activities, such as group work, discussions, presentations, exercises (grammar, audio-visual, listening, reading, speaking) etc.

Modalità di verifica e valutazione dell'apprendimento

Assessment will be carried out by a final written test of 90 minutes dealing with the main grammar and communicative topics and skills acquired during the course.

The ability of the student to achieve a coherent and comprehensive understanding of the topics addressed by the course, to critically assess them and to use an appropriate language will be evaluated as excellent.

A predominantly mnemonic acquisition of the course's contents together with gaps and deficiencies in terms of language, critical and/or logical skills will result in grades ranging from good to satisfactory.

A low level of knowledge of the course’s contents together with gaps and deficienciesin terms of language, critical and/or logical skills will be considered as ‘barely passing' or result in a fail grading.

Students with a form of disability or specific learning disabilities (DSA) who are requesting academic adjustments or compensatory tools are invited to communicate their needs to the teaching staff in order to properly address them and agree on the appropriate measures with the competent bodies.
