Title: Trends Analysis: how to read catwalk shows

How can we spot the latest new trends? What is going to be cool?

How do we find the upcoming season trends in advance?

How are trends organised into sections and groups?

We will be able to answer these questions by using the“ANALYSIS METHOD”.

During the lessons it will be presented a path of research and application of the most correct analysis tools, thanks to which the students will be able to carry out the analysis of a theme ( a different theme will be assigned to each student). Through the images drawn from the most prestigious collections of international brands, it will be possible create a “ Trends Book”, that it will contain the most meticulous and comprehensive summary of the contemporary collections. The hazy initial view, step by step, will become a clear, precise and infallible vision of the trends of the next season.

The course aims to introduce the students to the knowledge of a valuable “method of analysis”, that will accompany them throughout their professional career, allowing them to learn what ultimately counts in every season. What is going to be presented is the method used , par excellence, by journalists, experts of the communication, designers, buyers and professionals. At the end of this course each student will be able to do independently an analysis of the trends.
