By the end of the training activity students wiil know how to design research and intervention projects
Contenuti
The course will allow students to learn the principles of project design. Both research and intervention projects will be considered with a specific on:
- Defining the expertise
- Reading calls: specificities and requirements
- Defining the topic of the project
- Summarizing the state-of-art
- Planning the project and its implementation (e.g., plan of activities, Gantt)
- Building the consortium: partnerships and contacts
- Engaging the stakeholders
- Considering policy implications
- Preparing the dissemination plan
- Evaluating projects as a reviewer
An overview of funding schemes financing research and applied projects at local, national, and international levels will be provided. Special attention will be devoted to projects related to the two pillars of the master's degree (i.e., well-being across the life span and social inclusivity)

References will be provided during the course and will be related to the specific topics addressed in each session.
Metodi didattici
In addition to brief lectures, teaching methods will be focused mainly on small groups' work and guided discussions related to the course contents and the preparation of a final assignment.
Modalità di verifica e valutazione dell'apprendimento
Active participation in the activities proposed during classes is highly recommended.
Assessment methods consist of preparing a project. Students will be asked to prepare a written document that will be evaluated by the teachers after the end of the course.
Strumenti a supporto della didattica
Video projector, computer, power point presentations, and materials provided during classes.
