Metodi didattici

One of the most important skills for a manager to develop is the ability to work as part of a team. To sharpen your skill in this area you will prepare 2 to 3 team case analyses. The case analysis must be handed in(not e-mailed) on the due date, and no late papers are accepted. The criteria for grading written case presentations include:

1. Identification of key problems/strategic issues.

2. Use of appropriate analytical tools techniques, including the use of charts and tables where appropriate.

3. Presenting realistic, workable, well-supported recommendations for action.

4. Use of good communication skills

All written cases are to be typed with a maximum length of three to four pages (12 point font, no microscopic type or margins) plus references and figures. A short guide on how to write a case analysis will be provided by the instructor at the beginning of the course. Team case analysis will count as 30% of your grade.

The course is strongly based on class discussions and active participation by students. Learning will come from each student trying to understand the conceptual issues addressed by the readings, and being critical with respect to the problems raised by the case studies. It is important that everyone contributes to class discussion.

Modalità di verifica dell'apprendimento

The final exam will cover all the lecture material used throughout the course (course textbook, assigned readings, lecture slides). It will not include case details but it will include conceptual issues that are covered during case discussion. It will be based either on a mini-case analysis or a test with open-ended questions.

The fianl grade will result from the following three components:

· Class contribution

· Team case analysis

· Final exam

Strumenti a supporto della didattica
