Previous positions:
 Various posts in cultural and science diplomacy (Cairo, New Delhi) and part-time university lecturer (1967-92)
 Senior adviser of the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (part time, 1997-2004)
 Minister-Counsellor and Deputy Head of Misson of the Hungarian Embassy in Rome (2004-2007)
Teaching activities: University of Economics (1979-87), College for Foreign Trade/Budapest Business School (1992-). In undergraduate and MA programmes he teaches International Relations Theory, Diplomacy, European Political Cooperation and, in the English Programme, Understanding Central Europe. He was the founder and Director of the BA Course on Economic Diplomacy and International Management as well as one of the managing Professors of the European Studies Centre at his College. He was the head of MA Course of International Studies between 2009 and 2014 abd the head of the same MA course at Sapientia Univerrsity Cluj-Napoca, Romania, between 2011 and 2016. In 2012-15 he was visiting lecturer of Corvinus University Budapest, too.
Scientific activities: his fields of research are: countries in transition, international institutions and branches of diplomacy. He took part in a number of international and European research projects. Since 1998, he has been a member of the international network of researchers of Bologna University, Centre for East-Central European and Balkanic Studies (Forli). Has 70 publications including some studies published in India, Italy, Great Britain, Greece, Slovakia and Argentina.
Public activities: member of Society of Hungarian Economists, Hungarian Association of Foreign Affairs, Hungaro-Egyptian Society, Indo-Hungarian Friendship Society. Former member of the Scientific Council of BBS. Has entries in the 1992-1993 and 2001-2002 issues of Hungarian Who is Who for his professional activities.
International relations: he has a superior degree in English, Russian and Italian languages. Spent 30 years in political, cultural and scientific diplomacy including three foreign postings of a total of twelve years. In the recent decades he participated in a couple of internal and international conferences and delivered lectures at British, Dutch, Luxembourgian, Greek, Spanish, Slovakian, Egyptian and Argentinian universities. Since 1998, he has been Guest-Professor at the University of Bologna, Faculty of Political Science, Forlí, having a course on the transition in Central and Eastern Europe. Since 2004, he teaches an annual course within MIREES on geopolitics, foreign policies and regional cooperation in East-Central Europe.
