Marija Vujacic

Marija Vujacic was born in Podgorica, Montenegro, in 1991. She received the BSc and Spec. Sci degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Montenegro in 2012 and 2013, respectively, and the MSc degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Belgrade in 2014. She received the PhD degree in Power Electronics from University of Bologna in 2019. She is author of more than 10 scientific papers published in international conference proceedings and high impact journals. 

In late 2018, she moved to industry and joined Engie EPS, where she was working as Research & Development engineer on developing the high power conversion system for battery energy storage applications. She joined Hitachi Energy (ex. ABB Power Grids) in 2019 as a Global Product Manager responsible for BESS portfolio.

Her research interests include the areas of design and control of high power electronic systems predominantly for renewable energies integration and battery energy storage applications. 

She is also fellow of Institute of Advanced Studies (ISA), University of Bologna.
