Learning outcomes

The students after completing this course will acquire the knowledge of Hindi language and related grammatical elements with its basic vocabulary. The learners will also be able to read and use devanāgarī script. It will improve the conversational skill and pronunciation proficiency of the language.

Course contents

The course provides an in-depth study of grammar. The pronunciation and listening exercises during lessons will be helpful in learning complex and articulated sentences. Apart from the grammatical exercises, the group and an individual work in the classroom will focus more on developing communication skills of the students making them more familiar with Hindi.

Teaching methods

Grammatical exercises and conversation. Attendance is strongly recommended to make the classroom more interactive.

Assessment methods

The course provides an in-depth study of grammar. The pronunciation and listening exercises during lessons will be helpful in learning complex and articulated sentences. Apart from the grammatical exercises, the group and an individual work in the classroom will focus more on developing communication skills of the students making them more familiar with Hindi.

At the end of the course, students will have to take a short-written exam and a short oral test (the two tests will take place one after the other).

The written exam will consist of a multiple-choice test

The oral exam will consist of a linguistic assessment, based on a list of sentences assigned by the teacher in line with the program carried out.

NON-ATTENDING STUDENTS:

- Written exam: Similar to those attending regular classes.

- Oral exam: similar as of those attending classes; The linguistic assessment is based on the list of the sentences publishes by the teacher on his web page.

GRADES OF ASSESSMENT: The preparation of those who demonstrate that they have perfectly assimilated the grammatical structures and vocabulary explained in class, as well as being able to read and write in devanāgarī, will be evaluated as excellent.
