Learning outcomes
At the end of the workshop the student: knows the authorities of palliative care and specific legislation; knows the fundamentals of the organization of palliative care services and the complex needs of the patient with oncological and non-cancer pathology and his family; knows the role and skills of social work in palliative care.
Course contents
The organization of seminar activities is foreseen: Legitimization of the social worker in palliative care; The culture of palliative care; The deontological aspects of the social worker profession; Methodological aspects (use of the interview, team work, networking, community work); Comparing experiences.

Lectures with in-depth study of case studies, practical exercises and group work.
Assessment methods
At the end of the seminar meetings there will be a written test to be held in the classroom on the contents presented during the course. Furthermore it is necessary to attend at least 4/5 of the lessons.
