Learning outcomes

The course wants to provide knowledge on social media, by analizing tools, methods and approaches. At the end of the course the student will understand: how to use interactive Web 2.0 internet-based application; how to study and exploit user-generated content; how to create service-specific profiles for the website or app; how to manage social networks in different field and for different tasks. The students will be also introduced to social media jobs and profiles.

Course contents

The course will focus how the corporates, entrepreneurs and individual influencers use social media entities, some strategies technique, specific technologies context and communication content to engage audience for creating "business as usual".

The work in class will explain some statistic data representation upon the Web 3.0 scenario; how corporate feedback react at the affect online and offline behavior of large portion of population; trust and privacy matter in social media; how full emotional, stories, opinion are so valuable into the business as usual; discussion to some best practical experiences case history.

Course materials will be distributed during the class work.

Teaching methods

Basically, the course format works by lectures, some power point slides, presenting videos, open discussions and question time too.

Assessment methods

The final exam will consist in one teamwork about experimental projects chosen by the students.

The project will be discussed in class and presented by power point infographics design panel and brochure, or papers or others available options in max 10-15 minutes. The content material for the final work will be chosen by the team in advance agreement with the teacher.

The registration's score will be set it up in the data system after the work representation.

Teaching tools

The working class are providing one specific high technologic laboratory class facilities where students can find individual lap monitor last generation, last version software, some specific tools installed, one multimedia interactive whiteboard, speakers and high sound system, master laptop station and one projector.
