Learning outcomes

After completing the course, the student knows the processes of public policies in health, sports and sport tourism, including models where there is competition from the private sector; the student knows the rules in order to the construction and management of sports and wellness facilities, facilities, also with reference to the issue of responsibility.

Course contents

Prof. De Pamphilis module

Recalling the basic notions acquired with regard to the fundamental institutions of private law, the course will cover in depth the issues of greatest impact on the activity of implementation and management of services for the care of health and wellness, such as:

  • Data processing, privacy and the right to be forgotten
  • The evolution and harmonization of European contract law
  • Consumer contracts and consumer protection
  • Electronic commerce
  • Medical malpractice and liability
  • Product liability
  • Personal injury
  • Private law and artificial intelligence

Prof. Pietrantonio module

  1. Legal Framework of the public service in Italy.
  2. The instrument of PPP and the provision addressed to it by Italian Public Code
  3. Legal process for purchasing a legal entity operating in PPP sector.
  4. Project financing instrument.
  5. Corporate governance of the public company according to Madia Law.
  6. Identifies the characteristics of:
    1. “in house company”;
    2. “mixed companies” and
    3. public body.
  7. Public companies and bankruptcy profiles.

Prof. De Pamphilis module

During the lessons period, the professor will put at the students' disposal (also through his personal website) the teaching materials regarding each specific topic, which can be used for the exam preparation also by non attending students.

Prof. Pietrantonio module

Students will not be requested to work and prepare the final exam on a specific textbook but on the course slides, and materials that will be delivered before the starting of each class. The relevant material will be made available on the platform.

Readings and bibliography are the same for attending and not attending students

Teaching methods

Prof. De Pamphilis module

The course is developed through classroom lectures, supported by the use of slides and the distribution of teaching materials.

Active participation of attending students is encouraged, also through a casuistic approach aimed at analyzing practical problems emerging in case law.

Prof. Pietrantonio module

Classes are scheduled from April 28 to May 26, every Tuesday at 14 pm.

Assessment methods

Prof. De Pamphilis module

At the end of the lesson period, students are allowed to take the final exam, through an interview.

Prof. Pietrantonio module

The course envisages a combination of theoretical exposition and practical work, presentations by the students and discussions as well as comment and discussion of texts.

The final evaluation will consist of a written exam. Due to the contingency situation the final exam will be carried out through four open question. The students will have 1 hour to deliver the text.

Teaching tools

The lessons will be accompanied by slides projection and the distribution of teaching materials.
