Learning outcomes

The course provides the students with advanced knowledge about general thermodynamics and chemical thermodynamics, aimed at  the analysis of processes, evaluation of thermodynamic properties for pure components and mixtures and solution of phase and chemical equilibrium problems. 

Course contents

- Resume of basic laws from Classical Thermodynamics

- Evaluation of thermodynamic properties of PVT systems from Equation of State

- Solution of phase and chemical equilibrum problems in multicomponent systems

- Themodynamic analysis of industrial processes

- Elements of Statistical Thermodynamics
