Learning outcomes
This course will provide students the tools to address a research in general (in the humanities), and in particular in women and gender history.
Course contents
The course consists of two parts. The first presents the topics of the Italian Risorgimento in an European perspective. The second points on the history of the national flags as sources of cultural and political history
Lessons at disposal in the website can be chosen by attending students as alternative to Banti's or Mosse's books

Assessment methods
The exam is oral. There will be a debate on the books. Secondly, knowledge of the course contents will be tested (lessons).
If the student achieves a complete vision of the topics discussed in class and required for the discipline, a good knowledge of the texts of scholarship, shows mastery of expression and of the specific language, he will obtain excellence in the evaluation.
A student will be deemed to have failed the exam if he displays significant errors in his understanding and failure to grasp the overall outlines of the subject, together with a poor command of the appropriate terminology
