Learning outcomes

At the end of the activity the student will have acquired the typical skills of the analytical processes foreseen by the theoretical / practical typology typical of laboratory activities

Course contents

Purpose and organization of a Cardiovascular Fabrics Bank and a Cord Blood Bank

Biobank of the donors of organs and tissues of the Emilia-Romagna Region

Storage in liquid nitrogen of the autologous parathyroid tissue after surgical removal.

Characterization and freezing of autologous peripheral haematopoietic stem cells (autologous CPE)

Research areas to optimize the use of cells and tissues in the clinic.

Description of the process and methods of collection / collection, processing, characterization, freezing, storage and distribution of stem cells from cord blood and cardiovascular tissues.

Validation of critical processes.

FACT accreditation for cord blood bank.

Areas of clinical use of hematopoietic stem cells and cardiovascular tissues.

Treatment of lymphocyte apheresis for extracorporeal phototherapy.

Methods of production of blood components from cord blood units unsuitable for the storage of stem cells for regenerative medicine applications in various clinical settings.
