Learning outcomes

At the end of the course unit, students: - know the principles underpinning microeconomics and macroeconomics; - having studied the fundamental theoretical models and their application for the assessment of current economic performances, are capable to understand how development factors are to be figured out and considered in developed and developing areas, also with a view to designing cooperation models at the international level.

Teaching methods

Teaching methods include lectures, PPT presentations, readings. Although the coursedoes not require prior knowledge and does not require preparatory skills, please note that studying economics involves the use of some minimal analytical tools (e.g. reading graphs and understanding simple equations). These tools will be illustrated at the beginning of the course.

Attending lectures can take place both in-person (by booking in advance on 'Presente' App, meeting the anti-Covid provisions contained in the University regulations and to the extent permitted by the reduced capacity of the classrooms) and online via Teams app.

Assessment methods

The assessment consists in two tests, a written test and an interview, to be taken in the same session. Scores range between 0 and 30. Passing the written test with a score of at least 18/30 is necessary to be able to take the interview and obtain the final mark.
