Learning outcomes

Prerequisite · Basics of Japanese (first year)

The students know the basic elements of Japanese language and culture.  The students are capable of understanding written texts and simple oral dialogue.

Course contents

Prerequisite · Basics of Japanese (first year)

In this course, starting from the basic sentences in Japanese, and some new grammars, the phrases and also kanji will be presented.
The exercises will focus on different capabilities: for example, conversation, spelling, listening, understanding of written texts. In conversational exercises, students will be involved in role-play activities that will enhance communication skills in realistic situations of daily life.
Additionally, students will learn how to use the computer in Japanese (at the end of the course, they should be able to write Japanese compositions with the computer).
