Learning outcomes
At the end of course student is able to arrange suitable nutritional plans for gastroenterologic, nephrologic and endocrine/metabolic diseases.
Planning and carrying out actions of dietetic/nutritional support in different diseases.
Course contents
Focusing the importance of diet in the treatment of gastro/intestinal diseases, (MRGE, dyspepsia, ulcer, gastritis, IBS). Clinical cases presentation and discussion—planning of therapeutic programs taking into consideration guideline and scientific knowledge.
Diet in hepatopathies (steatosis, steato/hepatitis, cirrhosis). Scientific knowledge. Clinical cases discussion. Planning of therapeutic programs based on disease phase and current complications.
Diet in nephrology ( acute/chronic renal insufficiency, dyalisis, transplant). suitable nutritional plans planning.
Focusing the importance of proper diet in the treatment of endocrine/metabolic diseases.
Bibliographical research on Pubmed, reading and discussion of scientific publications.
Analysis and management of clinical cases- Nutrition care Process (nutrition assessment- nutrition diagnosis- nutrition intervention- nutrition monitoring and evaluation)
