Conoscenze e abilità da conseguire

At the end of the course students are able to manage the basic tools and theories of financial analysis and financial accounting, to measure and control firm performance. Studnets are exsposed to the important issue of conflict between principal and agent and of the need to inform different classes of stakeholders.

Contenuti

The course aims to explore financial analysis principles. It provides the participants with a framework to understand how the value and risks that businesses generate are captured in financial statements.

At the end of the course, students should be able to: (1) understand various techniques in financial statement analysis; (2) apply techniques to assess and compare firms' financial position, performance, and credit risk; (3) understand the limitations of financial statement numbers; and (4) extract accounting information to make forecasts and valuations.
