Learning outcomes

Students will learn to apply decision making process based on cost methods and analysis, appreciate program control systems theory and practice


Course contents

The reversals of goals and vincula to respect in national health systems confronting with for profit firms

The characteristic of management control systems in health care organizations

The idea of cost and revenue. Economic, financial, and balance sheet equilibrium

The accounting methods in health care organizations

The D.R.G., a way to measure unit of production in health care

The tools case od program and control systems, the balanced scorecard method proposed by Kaplan and Norton and the application to the health care organizations, hospital area and loca health agency in geographic areas

we'll use slides prepared by teacher and part of books and articles connected with the subject
