Learning outcomes

At the end of the course, the student possesses the knowledge and ability to understand the main theories of learning and communication processes in order to establish with the patient, with his / her close and with other professionals, a conscious relationship inspired by ' the idea of a lifelong education.

Course contents

The course aims to direct students' attention to the complexity of educational and care relationships. In particular, it explores the contribution of pedagogy and educational sciences to the caring professions, as well as interpersonal communication in healthcare settings and within interdisciplinary teams. Furthermore, the course encourages critical reflection on the underlying assumptions, mental models, and implicit representations that shape professional communication and inform the care relationship.
