Learning outcomes
The course aims to provide the fundamental tools for the economic analysis of the tourism market, referencing a variety of international tourist destinations. The purpose is to enable students to analyze situations and evaluate feasible solutions for a wide array of problems. Upon completion of the course, students will be familiar with the foundations of micro- and macro-economic analysis of tourism and will be able to: (i) evaluate how and to what extent tourism influences the economic system; (ii) analyze the behavior of consumers and tourism businesses; (iii) identify and analyze the strategies of tourism businesses; (iv) explain the function of policymaking in tourism based on key concepts of tourism economics and the governance of tourist destinations.

Assessment methods
The final mark is based on a written exam and group works. The ranges of grades are as follows:
- <18 not sufficient;
- 18-23 sufficient;
- 24-27 good;
- 28-30 very good;
