Learning outcomes
The course aims to integrate and support, through additional laboratory experiments, the knowledge acquired in the "FOOD QUALITY AND FORMULATION (C.I.)" program.
Specifically, it aims to develop advanced operational skills in experimental activities to support students in the design and formulation of food products, focusing on the chemical, physical, microbiological, and sensory quality attributes.
Course contents
Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:
- Apply analytical methodologies independently and critically in a laboratory setting.
- Operate according to good laboratory practices (GLP), in compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Analyze and interpret experimental data to draw conclusions consistent with hypotheses and product formulation application contexts.
- Collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams, clearly communicating the results of analyses.

Teaching methods
Practical laboratories.
Due to the types of activities and teaching methods adopted, attendance at this training activity requires all students to complete Modules 1 and 2 via e-learning [https://www.unibo.it/it/servizi-e-opportunita/salute-e-assistenza/salute-e-sicurezza/sicurezza-e-salute-nei-luoghi-di-studio-e-tirocinio] and participate in Module 3, which is specific to health and safety in the workplace.
