Learning outcomes
The theme of Seminar 3 changes every year but is always aimed at providing students with in-depth insights into scientific and instrumental innovations in the field of plant protection against adversities, mainly of biotic nature, through contributions from external experts to UNIBO, both academic and technical.
Course contents
The subject matter of Seminar 3 changes every year in order to follow the scientific and instrumental innovations in the field of the Plant protection from, mainly, biotic stresses and includes contributions by experts from public and private bodies.
In the six previous Academic Years (AY), the topics chosen were:
AY 19-20 "New scenarios and technical means in plant protection"
AY 20-21 "Diagnostics in plant protection"
AY 21-22 "Digital technologies in plant protection"
AY 22-23 “Preliminary overview on the management of agricultural land flooded in areas affected by recent events in the Emilia-Romagna region”
AY 23-24 “Agriculture and research in international organizations”
AY 24-25 “ Innovative methods of distributing plant protection products”
The theme of Seminar 3 of the AY 2025-26 has not been defined because it will be carried out in April or May 2025, therefore it is considered appropriate to wait for a selection among topics with the greatest possible newness.

Teaching methods
The seminar will take place in classroom and it will be held by experts not belonging to the University of Bologna
Assessment methods
Based on documented active participation through questions and comments of the students to the invited experts
Teaching tools
Personal computer and video projector. The teaching material presented is made available to the students in Virtuale. Access to material is granted only to students enrolled in the seminar.
