Learning outcomes

1. The sources of right in general. The sources gerarchy and the caratteristics.

2. Sources of environmental law. Analysis of the Consolidated Environmental Act (Legislative Decree No. 152 of 3 April 2006).

3. Organisation of environmental law.

4. Principles of environmental law.

5. Procedures. Regulation of VIA and VAS, AIA and AUA.

6. Envirnmental information and protection tools.

7. Environmental damage and contaminated site remediation.

8. Air quality protection and atmospheric pollution.

9. Water protection and water protection tools.

10. Water management and integrated water services.

11. Waste regulations.

12. Climate change.

13. Biodiversity protection in EU law and domestic law.

14. The marine environment and maritime spatial planning.

Course contents

The following textbook is recommended:


- P.DELL'ANNO, Diritto dell'ambiente, Cedam, 2025 (8a edition).

 

For attending students, the lecturer will provide the necessary material for exam preparation during the lessons.

Assessment methods

The exam will be oral.


The assessment of the exam will take into account:


knowledge of institutional profiles;
the ability to analyse jurisprudential and doctrinal guidelines;
the ability to make connections between the different parts of the programme;
the ability to develop critical arguments;
the articulation of the presentation;
the accuracy of the presentation.
Final grade scale:


- Preparation on a very limited number of topics covered in the course and ability to analyse only with the help of the teacher, overall correct language expression → 18-19;
- Preparation on a limited number of topics covered in the course and ability to analyse independently only on purely executive issues, correct language expression → 20-24;
- Preparation on a wide range of topics covered in the course, ability to make independent critical analysis choices, mastery of specific terminology → 25-29;
- Substantially exhaustive preparation on the topics covered in the course, ability to make independent critical analysis and connection choices, full mastery of specific terminology and ability to argue and self-reflect → 30-30L.

Teaching tools

Students who, for reasons related to disabilities or specific learning disorders (SLD), require compensatory tools may communicate their needs to the teacher so that they can be referred to the appropriate contacts and agree on the most appropriate measures to be taken.
