Learning outcomes

At the end of the course students are expected to understand the main principles of Economics and the most important aspects of state intervention in market economies. These include the functioning of markets, their ability to produce efficient allocations, market failures, the ability of governments to remedy market failures, public failures, and the role and the working of the tax system.

Assessment methods

There will be a written exam, with three exam sessions: after the course, in January and in September.
The grade of the integrated course will be the simple average of the grades obtained in the two parts, Principles of Public Economics and Cultural Economics.
