Learning outcomes
At the end of the lessons the student knows: the cultural roots and the technical characters which identifie Modern and Contemporary Age on the side of legal history. The general pattern will be exemplified through two realities concerning civil and criminal law.
Course contents
The Age of late ius commune; innovations of Ancien Regime; French Revolution and Napoleon; the society of the codes and the constitutions; legal science in Europe between XVI-XX cent.; Italy from the Restaurazione to the Fascism.

The examination is oral. An optional oral test at the end of the first semester, a written test and an optional short dissertation at the end of the second semester are reserved to students attending the course,
