Learning outcomes

Institutional Course dealing with all the main topics -institutions and policies- of the European Union

Course contents

The course will analyze: the EU institutional framework, the EU Court of Justice, the European Citizenship and the protection of Fundamental Rights, the EU  Internal Market and related policies, the Area of Freedon Security and Justice and the External Relations of EU.

Readings/Bibliography

Students can choose one of these textbooks:   TESAURO, Diritto dell'Unione europea, Cedam 2012, all the book. Previous edition not admitted    or    Adam Tizzano, Diritto dell'UE, Giappichelli 2014 (all the book apart form the chapters III and VI of Part Fourth)

Teaching methods

Active participation of the students is encouraged so as they acquire  an overall and critical approach.

Particular attention will be devoted to the analysis of relevant case law.
