Learning outcomes
Knowledge for studying Romance literatures (in the Middle Ages) and Romance languages in a comparative view. Italian among Romance languages; diffusion of Romance languages in Europe and in the world. Problems concerning textual philology, literary communication, and semiotics.
Course contents
1. From Latin to Romance languages.
2. Main French and Provençal texts of 12th century: epics, lyrics, romance.
