ICoN online self-study L2 Italian courses

The University of Bologna, in partnership with ICoN, offers prospective students, current students and other international guests the possibility to attend online self-study Italian L2 courses, for CEFR levels A1 to C1.

If you are a prospective international exchange or degree seeking student, current student or visiting professor, fellow, researcher, scholar, or staff member at the University of Bologna, you have the opportunity to register for Italian L2 courses provided by ICoN. Registration for courses is free of charge.

The courses are offered online in self-study mode, for CEFR levels A1, A2, B1, B2, C1. More information on ICoN courses.

It is recommended to attend the courses even before arriving at the University of Bologna, for instance with a commitment of 5 hours a week for about 6 months. To participate in the courses you are not required to be already enrolled or registered at the University of Bologna.

To participate, you must register for a placement test, which is mandatory, through Studenti Online (SOL) and take the test, according to the following schedule:

To register for the placement test, log into Studenti Online (SOL) with your credentials name.surname@studio.unibo.it, select "Calls" and "ICoN L2 Italian courses", then complete the registration. You need to register on Studenti Online
(SOL) and obtain the @studio.unibo.it credentials even if you already have the @unibo.it credentials.

A few days before the test opens, you will receive an e-mail from ICoN with instructions on how to take it. Do not register independently for the test on the ICoN website.

A few days after the test closes, you will receive an e-mail from ICoN with instructions to access the online course for your level in self-study mode.

Important: the instructions will be sent to you by ICoN to your e-mail address @studio.unibo.it (from round 4).

You can only register for one session at a time.
