The University of Bologna’s Independent Research Takes to the Streets for the Bologna Marathon
On the occasion of the sporting event that will involve the whole city on 1 March, the University of Bologna is promoting the 5 km non–competitive run, offering participants the opportunity to support the University’s research activities. To mark the event, the University will also be present for three days in Piazza del Nettuno with a stand where Unibo researchers will engage directly with the wider community.
Enrolments for the 2025/2026 academic year: the University of Bologna in numbers
The University of Bologna confirms its role as a major public university — open, inclusive and strongly competitive at the international level. Overall enrolments remain stable, with increases in second-cycle degree programmes (+2.3%) and in the number of international students (+10.4% compared with last year and +53.4% compared with two years ago).

How can we support older adults in following their treatments?
The Eldercare project, coordinated by the University of Bologna, has identified strategies to address poor adherence to chronic treatments. The aim is to tackle one of the main challenges facing the Italian public healthcare system, which costs the National Health Service around two billion euros each year.
