Learning outcomes

After completing this module the student owns, through exercises, the knowledge necessary to understand the principles of measurement to assess cognitive skills, emotional reactions, stress and adherence to treatment in childhood, adulthood and aging.

Course contents

a) Psychological assessment, research method and psychological testing: construction and standardisation of scales and tests for measurement; b) assessment of cognitive skills and emotional responses in childhood, adulthood and aging; c) Effective communication skills in health and social care.
Pratical exercises will be conducted to collect and score (virtual) data.

Specific references will be provided during each lesson.

Teaching methods

Lectures and practical exercises to collect and score psychometric data.
At the end of each lesson and topic, the specific references of recommended reading will be recalled.

Assessment methods

The final assessment of "Applied Psycometry" will help to define the overall evaluation of "Approccio Comportamentale Nel Trattamento Dei Pazienti Con Particolari Necessità" Integrated Course.
The test will be written, with three open-ended question (total time for examination: one hour).
