Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the student has knowledge of oncohematological therapies and organizational and clinical assistance models present in the hospital and local area.
Course contents
Bases of tumor carcinogenesis.
Definition of inheritance and familiarity.
Main classes of oncological drugs and related toxicity.
Stage of colon cancers.
Definition of chemotherapy, radiotherapy: adjuvant, neoadjuvant and palliative.
Breast cancers: epidemiology, diagnosis and treatment.
Colorectal cancers: epidemiology, diagnosis and treatment.
Pancreatic cancer: epidemiology, diagnosis and treatment.
Definition of targeted therapy:
Monoclonal antibodies
Tyrosine kinase inhibitors.
Acute leukemia: diagnosis, symptoms, treatment.
Chronic myeloid leukemia: diagnosis, symptoms, treatment.
Multiple myeloma: diagnosis, symptoms, treatment.

Teaching methods
The course will also be characterized by interactivity with the students, in-progress checks will be carried out, in the form of a question or test to verify the real learning of the students during the lessons, to make any further study on some topics of particular importance and interest for the course of treatment and therapy of the oncological patient,
Assessment methods
the exam will be written in the form of multiple choice test the student may, on request, perform an oral test, with agreements from time to time, if the result of the test was not full marks
