At the end of this course students are provided with specific knowledge of how to write in English for a technical audience

 

1. Technical terminology to distinguish the technical voice.

2. Comparing Academic to technical writing

3. Writing for conciseness and how to achieve it

4.Technical Lab report writing

5.The Curriculum Vitae and its construction.

6. Presentations for a technical audience

7. Preparing for an Interview.

8. Grammar tense revision and grammars useful to the technical writer

Lectures, exercises, conversations in English, assessment of student's abilities in technical English: grammar, comprehension, reading, writing and speaking

Assessment methods

The achievement of learning objectives is assessed by means of one written test.
