Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student : - knows and understands the main models of educational mediation with particular reference to the role of teachers and educators of services for early childhood ; - Knows the types of services for children and is able to compare their evolution in the local , national, European ; - Knows the ways of managing the work of the section and plexus and to coordinate their work with that of colleagues at section, plexus and with other operators ; - Is able to build projects of continuity with the kindergarten ( sections bridge / spring ) and other agencies of the territory ; - Is able to use verbal and non-verbal cues to communicate with families , other educators Italians and foreigners their teaching strategies ; - Is able to identify educational problems relating to the conduct of their professionalism and promote training experiences in services - knows the general categories of teaching seen in the various fields of social education and cultural -school ; - Is able to interpret the characteristics of different contexts and hypothesize teaching strategies for solving problems; - Is able to reflect on their own skills as an educator and change their behavior and roles in different social and cultural contexts ; - Know the main techniques related to group work and functioning of the working groups ; - Is able to carry out in group discussions , to develop projects , to build tools for interpretation of cases ; - Is able to choose the most appropriate behavioral strategies to promote collaboration among persons / entities other than , identifying synergies and meeting points .

Course contents

Identification of the main theories and stages of development of educational mediation: from formal to informal contexts towards integrated systems.

Knowledge of the characteristics of the system of educational services formal / informal and different aspects of instructional design.

Processing of complex analyzes on the main methods and tools of educational mediation in relation to different theoretical models.

Presentation of theoretical lines of interpretation of the new educational setting.

Projects related to the management of setting innovative training integrated traditional environments.

Development of autonomous reflections to encourage communication with the different professionals working in different contexts, in particular museums and schools.
