AMS Tesi di Laurea
AMS Tesi di Laurea is the service dedicated to the collection, storage and on-line dissemination of degree dissertations in digital format.
This experimental service has been adopted by a number of Degree Programmes and contributes to the dissemination of the University's teaching activities on the web.
The institutional archive of dissertations, managed by the ABIS’s AlmaDL with the collaboration of the Libraries and Teaching secretariats of the degree programmes in the project, gathers and provides access to the dissertations presented at the University of Bologna since 2007.
The service is part of a wider project based on the collaboration between AFORM - Education Division, CeSIA - IT Systems and Services Division, and ABIS – Libraries and Study Services Division, which aims to simplify administrative processes through the implementation of on-line procedures and the promotion of student works, by making available on the web the bibliographic description and, possible, the whole text, according to the chosen level of access.

AMS Tesi di Dottorato
The institutional archive of theses, managed by the ABIS’s AlmaDL with the collaboration of the Thesis Department, collects and provides access to the complete collection of theses presented to the University of Bologna since 2007.
The Doctoral and PhD schools have access to a single, more visible institutional computer platform to manage and disseminate theses via the web.
The database provides on-line access to theses through search engines and allows access to the full text in full compliance with copyright laws.
AMS Tesi di Dottorato offers different levels of access according to the level of confidentiality of the contents.
Conforming to international standards for the interoperability and transmission of metadata, AMS Tesi di Dottorato has been integrated with other similar national and international services, allowing the University to contribute to ongoing thesis promotion projects.
In particular the University of Bologna dissertations are indexed by BASE Lab, DART-Europe, Driver and NDLTD.
The service also manages the legal deposit of the theses at the National Central Libraries in Rome and Florence.
