I work in the field of language education and applied linguistics to language learning and interpreting. My research focuses on the assessment of linguistic and communicative skills, including test design and validation; the application of plural approaches, and in particular intercomprehension in academic contexts; language teaching innovation through educational technologies, most recently with regard to the use of artificial intelligence systems. I teach “Linguistics for Interpreting” and “Communication in Institutional and Specialised Contexts” (Master's Degree in Interpreting) and “Modern Language Teaching” (Bachelor's Degree in Languages and Technologies for Intercultural Communication). I am the Unit coordinator for the European CORALIVE project and a member of the PRIN UNITE project. I am the department's delegate for Public Engagement and training/PCTO projects with lower and upper secondary schools, for which I am also the contact person for curricular internships. I am a member of the QA committee for the Interpreting degree programme and a member of the Doctoral College in Translation, Interpreting and Intercultural Studies.
